What is PokeSurvivor?

PokeSurvivor, officially styled PokéSurvivor, is JPTER78's free browser Pokémon survival fan game. Choose a partner, survive enemy waves, and improve your partner through level-up choices as you collect experience. Play PokeSurvivor online in the game window above: press Play, wait for the game to load, then choose guest play or a game-provider account. You can start in your browser without downloading a separate desktop game.

The PokeSurvivor game combines familiar Pokémon with a survival run. Your selected attack fires automatically while you control movement. Defeated enemies leave experience; collecting it brings the next level-up and three cards to choose from. Learn another move, strengthen one you already use, or improve a stat for this run. Try a different partner and different cards on your next attempt.

PokeSurvivor has progression both during and between runs. Move evolutions change individual attacks, Bonds let linked moves share a slot, and Rifts lead to timed legendary battles. Back in the menu, coins buy permanent upgrades for a chosen Pokémon, while tickets pay for Gacha pulls to expand your partner collection. Those menu purchases and the cards collected during a run serve different purposes.

Keep open space around your partner and circle wide enough for the crowd to follow behind. Leave filling ground markers before the hit lands, and collect nearby experience without crossing straight through enemies. On a phone, turn sideways and drag inside the game area. Learn the basic controls before trying an evolution or a Rift.

  1. Choose your partner

Start PokeSurvivor with the personality questions and review the suggested starter. You can choose another before confirming, so the suggestion does not lock you into a partner. Guest play is temporary; use the game provider's account options when you want to keep progress.

  2. Move and collect experience

Start a run from the game menu. Use the keyboard on desktop or turn your phone sideways and drag to move. Your selected attack fires automatically. Collect experience from defeated enemies, keep away from the crowd, and leave filling ground markers before they land.

  3. Choose one of three cards

At a PokeSurvivor level-up, choose a new move, an upgrade, or a stat boost. Play resumes after your choice. Keep a damaging attack available: Buff moves do not deal damage themselves. Pause when you need a break.

PokeSurvivor beginner guide

Learn how a run starts, how to pause, and what the three level-up cards change. Only the selected slot fires; learning another move gives you another option to select.

The PokeSurvivor beginner guide covers desktop and mobile controls, guest saves, and coin upgrades. Use it when you are starting out or returning after a break. It also explains why a permanent menu upgrade does not replace a stat card chosen during the current run.

Move evolutions in PokeSurvivor

A move evolution requires level 5, its exact stat card taken in the same run, and a golden evolution-card choice. Taking the stat card before level 5 still counts.

Ember needs Power to become Fire Blast; Bubble needs Sprint to become Surf. The PokeSurvivor evolution table lists all 59 evolutions, so you can plan the right card instead of guessing from a Pokémon's type. Five Buff moves have no evolution.

Rifts and legendary battles in PokeSurvivor

A portal lasts 45 seconds, and its legendary arena gives you 120 seconds to win. Victory awards a Bond; losing or timing out sends you back so the run can continue.

A living Boss skips a Rift spawn check, so the 2.5-minute announcement does not guarantee a portal in every situation. A win drops three single tickets, with a 50% chance of one ×10 ticket. Learn the portal rules before relying on those rewards.

PokeSurvivor Bonds

A Bond joins learned moves in one active slot and frees another slot. The first pair needs two independent moves. Later Bonds can expand that group to a maximum of four moves.

After a Rift victory, return to the map before choosing a pair. Without a valid combination, the Bond remains unused while you learn another move. Follow the linking steps if you have earned a Bond but do not see a choice yet.

Which partner should I choose in PokeSurvivor?

Choose a partner whose first move you can use comfortably. Partners can learn moves from their own types and the shared Normal pool, so consider what you want available later as well as the starting move. The personality suggestion is optional. Try the controls before investing more coins, and compare partners with similar purchased upgrades; otherwise, one may feel stronger because you have already spent more on it.

How do moves work during a PokeSurvivor run?

Independent moves occupy separate slots, and only the selected slot attacks. Use 1–4, Q/E, or a move icon to switch while moving. Learning another move gives you another option rather than turning every slot on at once. A Bond lets linked moves fire together from one active slot. When enemies close in, make room to dodge first, then select an attack that suits the situation.

What can I unlock between PokeSurvivor runs?

Tickets pay for Gacha pulls to add partners to your collection. A single pull uses one normal ticket; a ten-pull uses ten normal tickets or one ×10 ticket. Region banners are generation pools. Coins buy permanent upgrades for a chosen Pokémon. Decide whether you want more partners to try or want to improve one you already use. The ×10 Rift reward is a chance drop, so a victory does not guarantee a ten-pull.

Can I play PokeSurvivor on mobile?

Use landscape orientation and drag inside the game area to move. Tap a move icon to switch slots and the top-right button to pause. Keep gestures inside the game window so you control your partner rather than scroll the page.

Does PokeSurvivor save guest progress?

Guest play is temporary in this build. Do not rely on a refresh or closed tab keeping your collection. Game accounts and cloud saves belong to the game provider, and this guide site cannot recover a guest save. Check the game's account options before starting a longer session or spending time on permanent upgrades.

Do golden cards evolve my Pokémon?

A golden evolution card changes an attack: Ember becomes Fire Blast. Its level-5 and stat-card requirements concern that move rather than your partner becoming another species. Check the PokeSurvivor evolution chart when planning cards, especially if you are used to evolution working differently in other Pokémon games.

Understand move evolution
Do permanent upgrades help every partner?

Coin upgrades belong to the Pokémon you upgrade, so improving one partner does not improve the whole collection. They also do not replace the stat card required during a run for an evolution. Check which partner is selected before spending coins, and keep menu purchases separate from the cards you choose at a level-up.

Separate run cards from menu upgrades
My move is level 5. Why is there no evolution card?

Match the exact required stat card and check that you took it during this run. A menu purchase does not count. Buff moves have no evolution. If several attacks are ready, their golden choices need not all appear at the same level-up.
